I'm getting very excited about my upcoming trip to France. It's been too long! I'll arrive in Paris June 16 and return June 30. Michelle P. is my travel buddy. She & I had a trip to Paris together many years ago when we were both immersed in the Academic Senate. This time we'll venture beyond Paris with a Rick Steves tour. We're going 5 days before the tour starts so we'll have 4 days in Chartres alone before returning to Paris to join the group.
The basic itinerary is:
*Chartres (pre-tour on our own)
*Paris June 20
*Medieval Guedelon and Bourges June 23
*The Loire (Chambord) June 24
*Amboise (Chenonceau) June 25
*Brittany & Mont St-Michel (overnight there!!) June 26
*Bayeux June 27
*Normandy's D-Day Beaches June 28
*Monet's Gardens Giverny 29
*Paris and home. 30
I've seen a number of these places before but some I have not seen. Can't wait!
